Personal Statement
Don’t let my smile fool you. I’m always smiling—except when it’s “game on” and I’m playing goalie. Then I’m locked in and laser-focused on the incredible game that has already given me so much back. Lacrosse isn’t my pastime. It’s my passion.
I love the community of my lacrosse “brothers” who band together, and the comradery that goes along with it. I enjoy being a part of a team—not only on the field, but off it too!
I have had the good fortune of having great coaches along the way who have given me their time, advice, and respect. The relationships I’ve formed with those in the lax community have helped shape me as a student and as a young adult in the great game of life. My coaches will tell you that hard work doesn’t scare me. It makes me thrive. Challenges don’t deter me. They motivate me. For me, learning and improving never stops. I always want to be a better goalie, student, son, and brother.
In the classroom, I love it when we engage in class discussions and I get to know my peers and teachers on a more personal level. I maintain a high GPA and help spread kindness on campus through the “Dude Be Nice” club. Outside of school, I volunteer at the Senior Living Center where the elderly residents are grateful for a smile and someone who just takes the time to listen.
I dream of finding a challenging college that allows me to continue to grow academically, mentally, and athletically. I want nothing more than to play my passion in a happy place.
