Personal Statement
I may be small in stature but one thing that I was told when I first started tennis at 8 years of age- “She’s got quick feet, grit, and desire to win." I continue to use these attributes to my advantage every day on the court.
It has been a goal of mine to compete at the highest level of collegiate tennis. My dedication and drive for the sport is what helps me excel. Both on and off the court I’ve always pushed myself to be the best. Being a student athlete at a private prep school, I have developed a strong work ethic that has helped me build a strong foundation and an understanding of what it takes to balance my academics as well as training at a high level. I am disciplined and I prioritize my responsibilities and my goals.
I’ve learned to be successful by working hard and I’m not afraid to get up 3 hours before a morning match, take care of myself through physical agility training, and give everything I do, both on and off the court, 100%. I was honored to be asked to be captain of my tennis team as a sophomore. My teammates recognized my ability to lead, encourage, and bring a team together that comes from varying abilities and backgrounds.
