Due to my heavy background in Martial Arts (Bo work & Full Contact Sparring) and Soccer, my parents felt I would be a great fit for lacrosse. They signed me up for our local youth organization in North Kingstown, RI and after the first ten minutes on the field, I was HOOKED!
I fell in love with the sport and I have been playing year round ever since. I was always a natural defender in soccer, but in lacrosse, my athleticism and speed made me a natural midfielder. My coach suggested me to the coach for the local club team. I tried out and joined 3D RI Bears in the summer of 2019. The coaching and level of competition took me quickly to another level. I kept training in camps, with a local group called Roots Lacrosse and when I tried out the next year for my youth organization, I made the very talented NK D1 team. I was one of the younger players, but my quickness, vision, passing ability, leadership and hands put me on the attack of an undefeated, state championship team.
3D RI Bears folded under COVID, but I kept training on my own until things opened up. I joined a local training gym to learn the correct form and technique for lifting. That helped my explosiveness and speed quite a bit. I have been going and will continue to go 3-4 days a week even while playing LAX year round.
My former coach at 3D Bears started a new LAX organization called Blaze Lacrosse and I joined the 2024/2025 team. I played in tournaments and training with them since (Summer and Fall). Due to my increased speed and stickwork, I played both midfield and attack and even had some faceoff duties.
Going in to HS, I played box lacrosse with my high school teammates, came very close to making the varsity squad on my HS team as a freshman and had a great year on JV. The North Kingstown HS Lacrosse team was coming off of a state title, so we have a lot of returning talent. I tried to absorb everything I could from the coaching staff and worked with them six days a week. I scored twelve goals and led the team in assists as well.
When the HS season ended I jumped right back into skills sessions two days a week. the gym four days a week, men's leagues on Monday nights, practices with my club team four hours a week, tournament play and showcases. In my Sophomore season, I was the only sophomore offense player to make our varsity squad in HS and played for both squads to ensure I got plenty of time. I switched to RI Bulldogs for summer and made their top team. By the end of the Summer Tmnt season, I was a starter and we won the season ending Tmnt where I played every minute.
Starting my Junior year of HS, I am now a starter at Left Attack and play every second. We are having a good season under a new coaching staff and we continue to play better and better. This week I scored the winning goal in a come from behind, OT win on the road against our biggest rival.
I continue to get bigger, faster, stronger and better every week.
