I am a twin and that relationship has innately given me sense to work hard not just for me, but for others. I feel being the first born twin helped me become a leader. When we were little, I spoke for my brother. Taking action and being direct has always been in my life, and made becoming a coxswain a natural and easy decision. I was originally a rower in Saugatuck's beginner and intermediate program, but when they needed a coxswain for the boy's competitive team, I decided to rise to the challenge. Not just coxing, but being a girl on a boys team has helped me understand my big personality. It has taught me that I have the ability to take control and be confident no matter the audience or situation.

I believe my driven work ethic, academically and athletically, to always be better makes me a valuable team member. But above all, I believe my role, as a supporter of the team is most important. My ability to make the best out of any situation, and my unwavering enthusiasm is highly incomparable.
