Mason McBride '28 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mason McBride. I am currently in 8th grader at Muscle Shoals Middle School, in Muscle Shoals Alabama.  I have played soccer since I was 5 years old.  At the age of 6 I began playing club year around.  I just completed my 8th year in club.  I spent 6 of those years playing for Shoals Soccer Club and 2 years playing for Huntsville United.  I have also trained the majority of these years with numerous soccer coaches in a 1 on 1 environment to develop more advanced skills.  I am beginning my 2nd year on our school Junior Varsity team, where I with be starting again as center mid or attacking mid.  Throughout my years of playing soccer, I have played in numerous forward positions to include striker, right or left wing, attacking mid and center mid.  While I am versatile in playing any of those positions, I've spent most of my time playing both wings.  As I have improved my skills, I have recently been moved to center mid.  I have found a true love for this position and working hard to be successful at this somewhat new role.  I am a leader of my team and strive to always be a good team player.  I am known for leading my team in a huddle prayer with my teammates prior to taking the field.  This is something I felt strongly about it and made it happen.  

As I continue to grow physically and mentally, my dedication is in improving my skills and finding the perfect college soccer program for me to continue to play the game I have loved my entire life.
