Hello, my name is Tyler Brooks and I am a 2024 outside back from Irvine, California. The club I currently play for is Pateadores. I play on the 2006 ECNL Reserve League team and I wear #2. For high school, I play Varsity for Woodbridge High School in the Pacific Coast league and wear #15.
Academics are a top priority for me, as my overall GPA currently stands at 3.79. Some subjects I excel in are math and sciences, like physics and chemistry.
I consider myself a versatile player as I can play defensive and offensive positions. I like to play outside back because it lets me utilize my main strength of defense while also allowing me to join the attack, but I can also play outside midfielder and centerback. I try to keep the ball when necessary, but I'm not afraid to take on someone 1v1. I am strong in the air for headers. Also, my extremely long throw-in can turn a deep offensive corner throw-in into a corner kick because I can throw it into the middle of the 6 yard box.
In my lifetime, soccer has helped me make and retain many friendships, stay healthy (physically and mentally), and taught me many life lessons, such as learning to trust others around me and persevering when all seems lost. These lessons have helped me be successful on and off the field. Soccer has always been there for me, even if I have been going through tough times. No matter what I'm going through, soccer is always there to lift me up and motivate me to be better.
Through college sports, I desire to play at the highest level I'm capable of, contribute on and off the field, and earn a college degree. If all pans out, I would like to earn a degree in business and pursue a career in business management.
