Soccer has become a passion of mine through high school so having the opportunity to play college soccer is something I really am striving to do. As a college soccer player I want to be the player that coaches can count on to make a key play on the pitch or keep supplying opportunities to score. I want to be known for work ethic and putting my teammates needs above my own. I want to leave an impact on my team where ever I end up playing and pursing a culture on a team of a brotherhood. This was true on my high school team and it impacted my game but more importantly my character. This is a trait that I would love to help implement this on my future team.
I believe what makes me a great candidate is the fact that I have been trained in a intensive varsity soccer program since my 8th grade year. Starting this young has boosted my game to a level where I do not think it would be without this experience. I take this as one of the best blessings God has given me.
What makes me different than other players is that I was recognized my freshman year as a Western New England All-Star player and played in the All star game that fall. I was the only underclassmen invited to the event. I have over 30 assists in my high school career, 19 of which came freshman and sophomore year. This past season I was the leading scorer and assister on my High School team with 15 goals and 8 assists. I am a very versatile player and love playing in the defensive midfield or as a forward. I made my leagues 1st team and even though I attend a small private school I was an All-State player across all schools in Connecticut.
Academically, I am not the smartest student and will not try to admit so, but I do my best to stay away from negative talk about academics and homework because that does not solve anything. All said and done my work ethic in general is what I try to work on along with my attitude towards school.
I am a very fun guy to be around and love being around other people. I am definitely extroverted but do not like parties. I would rather head to get food with some friends, play sports, or just hangout. I have been told that people look up to me so I do watch what I do because having people look up to you is an honor really. But I do not see this as a job but something I want to do.
