Hello coaches, my name is Vladimir Semenov and I’m a 2024 Fullback from Miami, Florida. I currently play for PSG U18/19 Maxwell (FC Miami City) where we play in USL Academy. I wear number 26 for PSG and number 3 for FC Miami City. Academics are a top priority for me. I currently hold a 3.97/4.0 GPA. I have been a part of the National Honors Society and the Math Honors Society since my sophomore year. I excel in various subjects including Math which would help me achieve my aspiring dream of being an engineer.
My play style revolves a lot around a fast-paced french style of soccer. My coaches always taught me to play quickly, always anticipate the game, and know my next move. In training, I have always been an open-minded player determined to be the best version of myself and constantly taking and applying advice from coaches and teammates. My upbeat attitude always boosts the team's morale; and I impact the team on the field, not only with my relentless work ethic but, with a charismatic outlook on the game and life in general. My top strengths are my height, which is great for towering over my opponents and winning crucial headers, and my vision, which allows me to read the game and create chances for my teammates with my creative passing ability and the ability to play long balls deep behind the opposing defense for my attackers. As a leader, I constantly try to be the best version of myself and lead by example. I am very coachable and I always try to assist my coach whether it be by leading practices or coaching other teammates to success. I strive to be the hardest-working player on and off the pitch and I assure you I will prove to be one of the hardest-working recruits you'll find. I play fullback but I can also play center back with great efficiency.
I have been playing soccer since the young age of 6 and it has always been my passion. Since I stepped onto the field I knew I wanted to play at a collegiate level. I work hard year-round on my soccer skills, attending showcases, going to camps overseas in Europe, and competing in tournaments where we play against the best teams in the country. Along with Varsity soccer, I have been a part of Varsity Cross Country, and the Varsity Track & Field team, where I was the #1 hurdler in the school. All these sports would contribute to my athleticism which would further help me when playing soccer. Something I learned through playing soccer is how much we need to value the time we have. Regardless if it's at practice or the final minutes of a crucial game, every second counts.
Through college athletics, I desire to play at a high level, compete every day, make a significant difference on and off the field, and earn a college degree in computer engineering.
