Sophia Souza '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello i’m Sophia Souza and i am a freshman year at North Broward preparatory School!

I am a very hard working,competitive,coachable,determined person athletically/academically. Growing up in North Texas is where i found my passion and love for soccer. Teams FC Dallas, Solar Soccer Club and Sting have helped me tremendously in my game. In 2020 my family and i moved to Boca Raton, Florida and i continued to pursue my passion for soccer on the teams Weston Fc and Sunrise Sting. I have worked hard to be given the opportunity to be a starting Center-back and play most if not all of the game for my High School Varsity team as an Eighth grader. My strength are staying calm and collective under pressure,reading the ball and knowing when to anticipate it, shielding the ball, switching the point of attack, and more. I never give up on and off the field i am a driven person who will do whatever it take to become a collegiate athlete. When i am playing with players that are better than me it pushes me to work ten times harder so i can be better than them. I think it’s important to be a good teammate and encourage your team and be a good motivator and push them to their highest potential. I take great pride with being able to attain all A and a B from time to time i think education is very important and i work just as hard with soccer as i do with my studies. I am not satisfied to anything but the best version of myself and i will train harder/longer and continue to push my self each day to be able to reach my goal as a D1 collegiate athlete.
