My collegiate goal is to not only compete in soccer, but truly benefit the team and complete my Bachelors Degree. At this point, I am interested in majoring in Criminal Justice with a focus on Forensics or possibly Engineering. I am entering my senior year with a 3.8 GPA. In addition, I take dual enrollment college courses and have completed the Criminal Justice pathway through my high school. I am actively involved in the National Beta Club, which focuses on academic achievement, leadership and community service. I am also a member of the Science National Honor Society. Additionally, I have been recognized as a Scholar Athlete for the last three years. Every day at practice, I leave it all on the field and treat it as if it is the last day I'll play. My passion for soccer has grown stronger each year I have played. I am committed to being the best all round player I can be. I work on imperfections I have instead of taking the easy route and only working on skills I have perfected. For example, I spend many hours on my own, working on my left (non-dominant) foot. I have strongly focused on my defensive skills and spatial awareness of the field over the last several years. I started playing Center Back, then transitioned to Center Defensive/Holding Mid during the club season and Right Back during my high school season. Having experience in each of these spots has helped me gain a better overall awareness and knowledge of the game. Outside of academics and athletics, I have spent many hours volunteering for organizations such as Be.Go.Do. Guatemala in which we raise funds and awareness for those in need. I have traveled to Guatemala on service trips, building beds and delivering food to those much less fortunate. I have also coached/mentored younger age groups within club soccer and work in landscaping during the summers. Soccer truly is my passion.
