Mauro Steijaert '24 Recruiting Profile

I'm Mauro Steijaert, a member of the class of 2024 and a player for the Chicago City U19 USL Academy. I weigh 177lbs, stand at 6'4" tall, and excel as a right-footed center back, although I am also versatile enough to play as a defensive midfielder.

Soccer has been a passion of mine since I was just five years old, and I have always dreamed of playing at the highest possible level. My ultimate goal is to play Division 1 soccer, and with my dedication and skill, I believe that I can make it happen.

When I'm not on the field, I'm a diligent student attending an IB school with a current GPA of 3.91. I'm interested in pursuing a degree in either entrepreneurship or finance, as I have a keen interest in the world of business.

My drive, talent, and dedication make me an excellent candidate for any academic or athletic pursuit I choose to undertake. With my passion for soccer and academics, I am confident that I will achieve great success in my future endeavors.
