Personal Statement
My name is Enzo A Santillan. I am a junior at Saint Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, I strive to excel in my academics and have a love for mathematics. In my spare time I am an active volunteer at an organization called The Honeycomb Project. This year I was accepted into their Leadership Corp program and help co-lead many of the service projects. My passion for soccer started at a very young age. I am a natural left-footed player who can play most positions. This ability helps my coaches in their game plan needs. I have been team captain on my travel team when I was younger and have held the position for my Sophomore high school team this past 2021 season. In my travel club team I play up each year. I have traveled, trained and played at the Real Madrid International Soccer camp in Madrid Spain. Being half Ecuadorian we travel to Ecuador every other year and I participate in the soccer camps held in the La Liga facilities in Quito. I am bilingual in the Spanish language which helps on and off the field. My goal is to continue to play soccer into college and maybe beyond. I have a passion to be on the field, supporting team members and playing the game.
