William Schmetter...Personal Statement
My name is Will Schmetterer and as a current senior, I play center back for Deerfield High School in Illinois and the Chicago Fire Juniors North. I have been a varsity starter since sophomore year achieving both All-Sectional and All-Conference. I am a National Honors Society student and Illinois Scholar Student with a 3.84/4.00 unweighted GPA. My current superscored ACT Score is a 32 (30 composite) with a 10 on writing. Deerfield High School is highly ranked among all public high school in Illinois.
On the field I am a relentless, fearless competitor. I love seizing every opportunity to be the role model and leader for the team. I'm very honored to have been voted captain by teammates, but it's never been about the title. I've been told hundreds of times by my coaches that it's alright to be a little selfish, both on and off the field -- but that's not me, and it will never be what I'm about.
