Hi, my name is Eric Nolte and I just completed my junior season at Washington Community High School in Washington, IL. As a junior defensive midfielder, I was selected as one of the captains for the Panthers, made 1st team All-Conference and was 4th overall in conference with total number of goals at 15 for the season and 9 assists. I have a unique ability to read the field and I am dangerous one on one with a defender. Club season at John Gaspar Soccer Academy is where I, along with the other players are able to push ourselves at practice because someone is always at my heels to try to take my starting spot. I love that competition and thrive in that environment. This winter we play in many showcase tournaments in the Midwest and I will typically play attacking midfielder or forward.
Athletics would not be possible without academic excellence, so I work as hard in the classroom as I do on the field. I am in all honors classes and maintain a GPA of 4.67. I intend to major in engineering as I have always had a love for building and figuring out complex problems. I am looking for not only a great education, but a soccer program where I can make a difference on the field right away.
I am a hard-working athlete who is ready to take it to the next level at college with a true passion for the game.
