Personal Statement
Soccer is my passion. It is something that I have been doing for most of my life and would like to continue to play in college. This decision is mine. I know some players may be pushed to play college sports by their parents. I truly feel an enjoyment while playing soccer that I simply cannot get from anything else. My love for the game isn't the only reason for wanting to continue my soccer career into college. Soccer is a way for me to learn how to set and achieve goals, a very important skill that I will utilize for the rest of my life. In addition to that, it shows me how amazing and fulfilling it can be to set a goal, handle setbacks and obstacles, and truly work to achieve something.
Since I have been playing soccer from the age of five, I have developed many skills that will help me on the field. I am incredibly agile, which greatly compliments my strong technical skills. I have laser-precise passing, and versatile crossing from my years playing as a winger. My speed is another asset of mine, as well as my overall endurance, mentally and physically. Above all, I have an amazing work ethic and learn something every time I step on the field. I take pride in being a student-athlete and hope to excel and represent at the highest level possible.
As far as the school goes, I am looking for a mid-sized school, which could be on the larger end. I have gone to smaller schools all my life and have decided I would like a change. Currently, I am thinking of majoring in Pre-med or other related majors. I do not have a preferred location for the school; however, I would like to be in a more suburban/urban environment.
