Owen Vasquez '26 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer ever since I was about three or four years old. I participated in several sports while I was younger but the one that I always kept coming back to was soccer. Soccer, to me, is more than just a sport or something that I do to pass the time. To me, soccer represents freedom above all else. Freedom to innovate and create, the ability to choose different paths and still end up where I want to be. The lessons that I’ve learned through soccer and the relationships gained as a result of playing have been some of the most meaningful and impactful experiences.

As a player I am easy to work with and I get along with most everyone. Both on and off the field I am intelligent and pride myself on my accomplishments as well as what I can do to help my team. I can fit into different systems seamlessly and are able to play almost any position if need be. I am adaptive and don‘t mind playing out of position if that’s what needs to be done.
