John Ober '19 Recruiting Profile

Ever since the age of 5 years old I have had high aspirations about advancing my soccer career to the collegiate level. My passion for the game pushes me to keep improving and allows me to compete at the highest level of competition. I started out as a Center Back where I acted as the "trunk" of the team supporting and directing my teammates while being chosen as Co-Captain my last year with LSA. Now at 6'2" and 165 lbs. my experiences have built me into a versatile player with success in many positions on the field, giving me strategic insight. This flexibility has made me an asset for my teams by helping to deepen the roster quality (Center Back; Defensive Mid).

While I have a love for soccer my primary focus is in the academic sector. I am strongly committed to being an excellent student as my 3.73 GPA reflects. Finding a school that will support a balance in both soccer and school is important to me. My blend of integrity, leadership, drive, team spirit and engagement will prove to be an asset to your program both on and off the field.
