Dear Coaches,
As a prospective member of your collegiate team, I wanted to share my goals and aspirations with you. My ultimate goal is to become an accomplished soccer player both on and off the field, and I believe that your program can provide me with the opportunity to achieve that.
I am an excellent candidate for your team because of my passion and dedication to soccer. I have been playing soccer since age 4 and put all my efforts into this sport I love. I have developed a strong work ethic over the years, including working as a referee for the youth soccer league in my town, which will also spill over into my college level work. In addition, I am a team player and am dedicated to learning and improving my skills continuously. I have dedicated many summers to hone my skill set as a player by attending soccer camps in different countries like Italy, Holland, and Germany. I have also attended soccer camps through ODP-Europe, have been selected to become a TDP Elite player, and attended a soccer camp with Paris Saint Germain. I have seized these opportunities to improve my skills as a soccer player.
In terms of academics, I take my studies seriously and understand the importance of balancing my responsibilities as a student-athlete. For college, I’d like to continue studying within the STEM program. I am committed to maintaining a high GPA, currently 3.89, and ensuring that my academic performance never takes a backseat to my athletics.
As for what makes me different from other recruits, I believe it is my character. I pride myself on being a leader both on and off the field. I have good communication skills and have been elected to be team captain on several soccer teams, including on one of my German club teams, and my high school team. I am not afraid to take on challenges and I approach every situation with a positive attitude. Additionally, I am able to predict the trajectory of the ball, I am swift on the field, and a fast runner. While I am a midfield/forward player, I am experienced in playing every position on the field. The only position I have not experienced as a player is goalie. I believe that my strong character traits will allow me to contribute to your team's success in a meaningful way.
In summary, my collegiate goals and aspirations include studying computer science and software development, while becoming an accomplished athlete. I am also dedicated to maintaining a high level of academic performance. I believe that I am a good candidate for your team due to my passion, dedication, and strong work ethic, as well as my positive character traits. Thank you for considering me as a potential member of your team.
