Liam McDermott '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Liam McDermott and I am an outside back in the class of '24. I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember and have been playing competitively for the last 10-12 years. Soccer so far is my biggest passion in life and I am looking forward to taking the next step in my athletic and academic career. I attend The Willow School in New Orleans, Louisiana (formerly known as Lusher Charter School) and I play club soccer for the New Orleans Spartans. Between Club and High School soccer there have been many ups and downs in my career. For High School, I have been on the varsity team since freshman year and have won 2 state championships as a Junior. This year, I was given the title of captain and led my team to our third state title in school history.  In terms of academics, I have taken 5 AP classes so far in high school with a projected 9 by the time I graduate and in the past 3 years, I have taken all honors classes, including Math, English, and even a more intensive Biomedical Sciences course, with an accumulative 3.75 GPA.  I have also invested my free time into theatre productions along with volunteering and helping out around campus. I am very excited about what the future holds in terms of soccer and school and I am willing to do whatever it takes to make it to the next level academically and athletically.
