Soccer or futball, is more than my passion, it is more than a sport, soccer is part of who I am, what I am.
I am the kid who has a ball at his feet constantly, dribbling the ball first thing out of bed, under the table at breakfast, on the way to school and all points in between. I would assume, always having a ball at one's feet is a common theme amongst aspiring student athletes, but I take it a few steps further. I have the ball literally and figuratively with me wherever I go. The majority of my reading assignments, creative writing, history reports, Spanish, geometry and science projects have to do with soccer. Soccer motivates me on and off the pitch.
I began playing competitive soccer through the Chicago Fire Juniors Program in the summer of 2012. Since then I have trained under five club coaches, three school coaches, regularly trained with 5 professional coaches, attended intensive camps in Italy, Spain, England, throughout the Unites States, including IMG and played hundreds of pick up games from the streets of Guatemala and Colombia to the beaches of Portugal and Puerto Rico. I have received many achievements through out my life, for example, First All state, All District, All District Attacking MVP, offered a scholarship to IMG academy and many more.
My parents and grandparents are avid travelers and fortunately for me they took me everywhere. Traveling has shaped who I am, making me more independent, responsible, connected to other cultures and comfortable in new environments.
I believe my multicultural development, thirst for knowledge and exposure to a variety of coaches makes me an ideal team mate.
