Mason Barker '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mason Barker and I’m a 6’ 4” center back.   I would like to find a college where I can pursue both my academic interest in engineering/science and my desire to play soccer at the collegiate level. I helped lead my high school team to its first appearance ever in the Maryland State 2A championship game in 2022 and I recently joined the Baltimore Celtic ECNL 05/06 team for the 2023/2024 club season. I consider myself to be a good team player with a focus on defense, ball possession, strategic vision, and effective distribution to my teammates.   I often use my height to win aerial battles and disrupt crosses into the box.  I’m presently working on improving my overall strength, speed, agility, and technical skills by pursuing individual training in addition to my normal club and high school team workouts.  I'm confident that I can be a valuable defensive addition to a competitive college team.
