Personal Statement

I am a very dedicated player.  I love the sport. When I am not at practice, I am weight training two times a week and running in the morning. I also practice shooting and my foot skills at home.  I am easily coachable because I am willing to take the time to improve when I receive feedback.  I have traveled out of state for my travel club and outside of the country (Barcelona) representing the Maryland State Team. I am short in stature but that gives me a low center of gravity, allowing me to pivot and turn quickly while using my speed to pass the opponent and open up opportunities to allow myself or my team to score.

  • Evaluated at Mid-Atlantic Boys Academic 50 ID Camp on 07/30/2023 by Coach Hilty of Wilkes University Skillset Overview Technical Abilities - 89 / 100 Dribbling - Quality with ball at both feet. Good in tight spaces, and makes good use of moves to beat defenders. Ball Control - Quality first touch in space, and controls the ball under pressure. Tactical Abilities - 87 / 100 Reading The Game - Does well seeing the first level of pressure and making appropriate decision on the ball. Group Play - Play was elevated in team activities. Great understanding of your roles and responsibilities within a team. Physical Abilities - 87 / 100 Agility - Showed good agility. Good body positioning and footwork helped you change directions quickly. Balance - Seemed to handle the challenges you faced well. Good job staying on your feet and not getting knocked off the ball. Mental Abilities - 89 / 100 Resistance To Stress - Maintains composure in pressure situations. Great job staying focused on the task at hand. Team Player - Great team-first attitude. Was encouraging and supportive to teammates throughout camp. Coach's Comments Luke was a quiet more shy player, however he played with a lot of passion and left it all out on the field. His strongest abilities were his dribbling and his ball control. He was able to keep the ball well for us an provide an attacking option high up the field. He combined with midfielders decently to create chances in the attacking half. As a younger player with a few years of development left he will be able to grow and develop into a strong college player Field Spacing - Knowing where to shift and where to be when the ball is in specific areas of the field. We need you to provide width as a winger and when the ball is on your side spread the field and provide us that option Defensive awareness - When we step to OB or CB, we have to make sure we step at the right time and at the right pace, If we do either incorrectly the ball will be played behind us and we are cut out of the game Strength and speed - As a younger player this will continue to come naturally as you develop but I would recommend some sort of training, speed, endurance, strength, to increase and really enhance the development of your body in the next 4 years
