Nolan Schiel '26 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I can remember I've had a ball at my feet. My father has played a huge role in my love and dedication to the sport. He showed me how to dribble, how to pass, and how always to work my hardest no matter what the circumstance. My mother has also played just as big of a role as my father. I could not ask for better parents. They support me in everything I do and help me with every challenge I face along the way. They are always steering me in the right direction and helping me learn right from wrong. Throughout my life, I have always strived to be the best academically, mentally, and competitively; knowing that there is always someone better and someone always working harder has been the fuel for me. Having the thought in the back of my mind, knowing that while I sit around, there is someone else outworking me. Because of that mindset, I always push myself, I always give my best and I always stay humble. I thrive on working alongside my team, pushing each other, helping each other, and growing together like a family. Like any other sport-loving kid, it has been my dream to play a sport at the next level. It’s the dedication, the hard work, the thousands of hours in the gym and on the pitch, the fresh smell of the pitch, the feeling of progression, the sense of accomplishment, the bumps along the way, and the challenges that you will face that I hope to experience if given the chance. I hope to one day look back on my sports career and be proud of myself and all that I have done.
