For the past 11 years, soccer has been the absolute best part of my life. I have greatly enjoyed forming strong bonds with my teammates and coaches, developing leadership skills, creating amazing memories, and having fun learning and growing through the game I love. There’s nothing like celebrating a goal with friends or overcoming a difficult overtime to advance in a tournament. In the past two years, I have realized that soccer is something I want to continue at the collegiate level. As a devoted team member, I will put 120% effort into fulfilling my dream of playing college soccer. I have adored representing my high school and local club on various teams over the years, and I can’t wait to wear the crest of a new school and meet amazing teammates who will help shape who I am as a soccer player and leader. I am someone who is very academically driven, I’ve always held myself to a high academic standard. In the past year, I have become much more skilled at balancing my heavy courseload with soccer. I have a goal of going pre-med and becoming a doctor, I know I am ready for college-level classes and balancing the workload required for playing on a college team. As an endurance athlete in both cross-country skiing and track and field, I also know I have the mental and physical strength to be an asset to every team, as well as strong values in team camaraderie, motivation, and spending time outside. I am ready for the next part of my journey, and can’t wait to see where soccer will take me.
