My name is Landin Hoyle and I am a junior at Rockwood Summit High School. I will graduate in 2024 and plan to continue my soccer career into college.
Throughout my soccer career, I have learned that I am a fierce athlete and competitor with strong loyalty to my teammates. This shows through in my skills as an attacking midfielder. Early in my career, I was mainly a forward. While playing this position, I was successful at improving on my foot skills and ability to take on opposing players one-on-one and, as a result, was a successful goal scorer. But the last few years I have taken on the role as CAM and have really grown to appreciate the position for the flexibility that it gives me to create opportunities for my team. My ability to read the field and use strategy to help my team be successful is a great strength that I plan to keep developing.
I also have a strong loyalty to my coach and teammates. I have been playing with the majority of the boys on my club team for almost my whole soccer career. And I have been lucky enough to play for Matt McKeon for almost as long. I really believe that these long term relationships and the understanding and loyalty that we have with one another has allowed our team to create the success that we have accomplished.
Off the field, I am also a great student. I pride myself on my academic abilities and challenge myself with honors/advanced classes as much as I can. Finding a college that fits my athletic and academic goals is very important to me.
