I am a passionate soccer player and an avid chess player. I love them both equally for the same reason - it takes strategy to win. While I instantly loved chess when I was introduced to it at the age of 6, I didn’t feel the same way about soccer at that tender age. It’s hard to imagine the boy that cried on the sidelines is now the one that never wants to leave the soccer field. I have lived in 4 different continents and my game has developed differently with each move, picking up tricks and styles from each place I played. I now reside at PSG Academy Pro Residency, a soccer boarding school in France. Playing international soccer at the highest level in Europe has helped me develop confidence on the field and given me a better understanding of the player I want to become. I’ve learned my strengths are my speed and my 1 vs 1 skills. I can also see the field like a chess board, each player with his own role and move, which, if played at the right time, can earn a goal or ultimately a checkmate. I want to be as strong in the classroom as I am on the field. I take both very seriously which is why I want to be a student-athlete, pursuing both sport and school with the drive to excel at both.
