Personal Statement

Coach,

My commitment to academics and soccer is a life long goal. Achieving excellence in soccer and life is important to me. As a player I have always worked hard to build on my technical skills, I love to compete and grow as a player, to push myself to get to the highest level possible. I understand how competitive soccer has become at the college level, and that results matter but so does the process.   As a team player I would look forward to pushing each player on the team to get better and strive for the coach’s goal.  What I have brought to each soccer team is leadership and companionship, to bring together a positive can-do attitude.   I do have an impact on my teammates, that is why coaches count on me to be there for my teammates.   I have never missed a game in club soccer or high school soccer, since 2010.

Kenny Brannigan my first club coach,  coached professionally in the UK and had played 570 Professional Scottish League matches as a center back.    I will always remember what he taught me as a coach and the work ethic he instilled in all of us.  Coaches are important, I listen and do my best to learn and execute.   Playing soccer at the college level is what I have worked hard to achieve.

With me you will get a respectful, hard working, smart player, who knows the game of soccer and who will consistently make a positive difference in every match I play. Thank you for your time.

Joseph Ferraro
