Erez Shinar '25 Recruiting Profile

As an enthusiastic soccer player since an early age, I have thrived as a lefty midfielder, embracing teamwork and dedication on and off the field. Soccer was the first sport I started playing at the age 5 and I never stopped loving the game since then. I am playing in a club, but also enjoyed participating in High school and the local leagues. Since soccer is important to me on and off the field, I founded the Northern Valley Cleats group. We collected over 100 pairs of soccer cleats and donated them to a club in Philadelphia that provides healthy activities and a positive environment to kids in the neighborhood. We met the different teams and held a Q&A session talking about how soccer brought them together and the benefit of playing soccer. I plan to continue being in touch with the club and run "cleats drive" every year. Beyond soccer, I prioritize academics and seek a university that values both athletic excellence and soccer. I pride myself on my technical skills which awarded me man of the match in games. I love playing a team sport and being a team-player is a quality that is especially important to me (it is reflected by my number of assists in the different leagues). Being a lefty with a strong and accurate shot has helped me move the ball and score free kicks.

My goal is to contribute to a competitive soccer program while excelling academically, fostering personal growth, and making meaningful contributions to my team and the campus community. I am eager to embrace new challenges and opportunities that await in a college environment that aligns with my values and aspirations.
