Hello future college coach! My name is Dylan Meneses and I am 18 years old. Currently, I am a Senior at Summit High School in Summit, New Jersey and I am looking for a school that will challenge me athletically and academically. My GPA is currently a 3.0, but hope to work hard to raise it. I would like to be a a part of a college that will provide an outstanding education along with a great soccer program.
I have been playing soccer my whole life. Playing as an attacking midfielder is my preferred position on the field, but can and will adapt to any position at a times notice. I am also able to shoot with both of my feet.. I have played on a couple of clubs throughout my soccer career. In 2011, I played for United Soccer Academy's summer team. During my time there, my primary position was playing as a forward and at times, as a midfielder. My Freshmen year, I played several positions which allowed me to open up and see what important roles each player had on the field. I played as a center back. In the midfield I played on the right, left defensive and on the attack. Half way through the season, I was moved up to Junior Varsity and played a couple of games with them. My Sophomore year, I was put on the Varsity team and received a lot of playing time. I scored once throughout the season and assisted twice. One being an important assist which took us to the semi-finals of the NJSIAA Tournament. My Junior year I had a hard time getting back into playing rhythm due to a sprained ankle that had occurred during our first game of preseason. On my first game back I had an assist. During my junior year on the Varsity team, I was very fortunate to score twice and assist three times.
I played on Soccer For Life (Club) from Millburn, New Jersey. I played a year up there and occasionally, I would be called to play for my age group. I played U15,U16,U17.
I would like to find a school that will test my skills on and off the field, somewhere I can share our passion for soccer with , and be an active contributor on the field and at school. A school that will aid me to achieve my true potential.
