Emilie Viscovich '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi. My name is Emilie Viscovich and I am currently a junior at Summit High School in NJ.  My passion for soccer has been a constant in my life since I was 4 years old.  I started my soccer journey with my town team (Summit Soccer Club), but once I realized my talent, I wanted to take my career to a higher level of competition.  Since 7th grade, I've been a dedicated member of my current club team, NJ Premier, where my training has primarily been based on the Dutch philosophy of coaching which prioritizes ball control and tactical development.  As such, I have the ability to play various positions on the field while also finding that I can help my team best as an outside back.  In addition to playing for NJ Premier year-round, I also play on the varsity soccer team at Summit High School during the fall season.

What sets me apart as a player is my versatility. I'm equally strong with both feet and I can easily adapt to different positions and formations on the field due to my various coaches over the years and their changing styles of play.  I have a keen eye for switching the ball up the field while also having the speed and stamina to cover ground effectively throughout the entire game.  My creative vision and offensive capability make me more than just a defender.  I enjoy contributing to the attack, while always ready to quickly transition back to defense when needed. Strong communication is a key part of my playing style, both on and off the field.

Soccer isn't just a sport for me; it's a family tradition. My father played at Columbia University, and his time there serves as a source of inspiration and guidance for me.

In addition to my dedication to soccer, I take my academics seriously, maintaining strong grades and a great GPA while taking high level classes.  I'm excited about the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic journey in college. I'm seeking a team that values hard work, cooperation, and the desire to win.
