Personal Statement

Playing soccer, and goal-keeping in particular, has been my passion since I was 8. I am currently the varsity GK for the Taos Tigers, and am playing on the same team as kids I have played with since we were 8 and 9. It's been an amazing journey to develop relationships both on and off the pitch with this group of young men. I've attended numerous GK development camps and trainings over the years, including the Olympic Development Program (ODP) in Bernalillo, and the US Air Force Academy last summer. I am a very strong athlete, and have been really developing my team leadership skills this year. I believe that my capacity to build strong, positive relationships built on mutual respect and encouragement will be a huge asset that I bring to any team I play on.

I played with Unified for 2 years in the stint I had in Missouri and Kansas where I lived with my dad. I showed great growth as a player in the years I played for the club and I was given a significant amount of personalized training and support from coaches. We placed 3rd in our 2 in our league and missed out on first by goal differential, we also placed 3rd at the emerald cup, a large tournament including over 450 teams from the midwest.
