2023 HighlightsPersonal Statement
- I was blessed as a natural athlete and the love for soccer came along with it, starting to play all ball sports starting 3 years old. While I was a multi sport athlete, soccer and tennis were my two sports I stuck with all the way from 4 years to now. I played both in varsity soccer and varsity tennis since i was in my 9th grade. I got noticed since I have always been a two-footed player and got selected as one of the top players in National Center of Excellence and traveled three times to England, Italy, and played several tournaments internationally. During one of these trips, I travelled to Old Trafford and played against Manchester United, scoring two goals against Manchester United academy team, a crowning moment in my life. This sport has blessed me with a lot of exposure and international experience. I have been able to maintain my academics at a very high level in addition to playing two sports at my school and also being in an MLS next aspiring club. I have a 26 inch vertical (a video of me jumping through a header) gives me the ability to win balls in midfield and mid-air and lets me score on set pieces. My aptitude to read play and judge the ball sets me apart on the pitch. I enjoy threading the ball and setting up passes that look elegant, but more so they have been very effective (videos). I have juggled many sports schedules with my academics so I feel I am able to meet the challenge of playing college soccer and excelling academically, and I look forward to continuing my soccer career at the next level.
