Zayd Amro '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello I am Zayd Amro. I am an ‘08 at Lycée Français de New York in Manhattan and will graduate high school in 2026.

Soccer has been a huge passion of mine since the age of 3 and have connected with the sport very quickly. Also, I an very focused on my academic excellence, maintaining an A+ average my whole life. Therefore, I feel that playing high level soccer at a high academic college is an environment where I feel I will thrive.

My position on the field is a left back. I am good technically with short passes and combinations, as well as dribbling down the line. Also, I like to fight on the pitch with aggression and slide tackling. 

I am also versatile and can occupy the right wing and center midfield if necessary.

I am usually regarded as a leader on the pitch, with my dedication, positive communication and organisation skills. I have had leadership roles on my soccer teams, such as a captaincy role at my old club and for my school team in 2022-2023 season. 

In addition, I lead at school, with roles such as delegate and affinity leader. As a student, I am usually motivated and ready to learn. I also have a good work ethic.

As a person, I am competitive and seek victories. I am adamant for success and, demand and motivate my teammates. I will always do what’s best for the team.
