My name is Max Daneker.
This past senior fall season (‘23), I was selected to the NYCAL All-League Team as a right back. I was a leader on my United Nations International School Varsity team which went 13-2, won the NYCAL championship, and lost 2-1 in the NYSAIS State Final. We outscored our opponents 38/11 and kept six clean sheets. In addition to a high engine and lock-down defensive solidity, I contributed versatility to our attack, breaking lines with accurate and creative two–footed distribution, retaining possession, creating overloads, and lots of overlapping runs. I also contributed with multiple goals and assists.
In addition to UNIS Soccer, I’ve played on The Southampton United Soccer Club Academy Team’ 06/’05 for five years, including the 2019 Gothia Cup in Sweden. I am now playing again for DUSC 2005/06.
After being named captain of the All-Star team at an IMG Academy training camp in the summer of 2021, I was asked to play for the IMG 2005 Select team in the IMG Cup in February of 2022, which placed second in the group. In addition to team training, I’ve regularly trained 1x1 with the Head Coach of Jacksonville (D1) Ali Simmons, and Ramon Espinoza Gasiba (Former Massunited Pro F.C., @ensoccer.us).
My primary position is right wing-back, but I have also played both right and left winger for my clubs due to my ball skills, run creativity, and two–footed striking.
I also take my academics seriously (4.18 GPA in an International Baccalaureate Program / Higher Level Chemistry, Math, and Economics, 1530 SAT) and work and leadership opportunities. I can be an outstanding teammate and contribute meaningfully to a winning team. I appreciate your consideration.
