Personal Statement
As a kid, I played everything (i.e. soccer, baseball, and basketball). As I went into high school, I started focusing on the sport that brought out the best in me and could give me an opportunity to go to college and compete. This sport is soccer.
I love soccer because of the rush that being a goalie gives me. I enjoy knowing that the pressure is on me to make a save and help my team win. I want my defenders to trust and know that I have their back in case of a mistake. But I also like the pressure of doing well in my studies as a student-athlete.
I consider myself a well-rounded student-athlete because of the good work that I do on and off the field. I have a strong academic standing (3.5 GPA). Also, I co-teach a fourth-grade religion class at my local church because it is important to me to mentor others. I am normally a quiet guy who enjoys music, doing well in school and supporting my team. I am confident that my playing abilities and my academic skills will make me an asset to your college.
