I am looking for a university that is outstanding academically as well as one that has a chance to compete on a national level. I have been playing soccer since elementary school and have remained persistent and dedicated through the years. The sport has given so much to me. I have learned to be a leader and a team player on the field. These characteristics have majorly impacted my academic and personal life. I have learned to never give up on myself and to continue to work hard.
Academics are very important to me as well. I am currently taking all AP and IB classes (including Spanish) this past year while maintaining a 3.8 weighted GPA. I believe that grades come before sports and I will continue to strive to do my best. I keep a good balance between sports and academics, which is why I feel like I would flourish in the college experience. Soccer has made me a better athlete and person and I can't wait to see where it leads me.
