Personal Statement

I have been fortunate to have been chosen as the captain of most of the teams I have played on since starting classic at age 8, because I set an example for what the coaches want to see from the players.  Later, after every season of ODP, Club, Highschool, they always complimented me on my work rate.  I have been the one who sets the bar on the teams I have played on and have been responsible for keeping the team organized and ready on the field.  I can play any position the coach needs support for and excel in that position.  No one will work harder during practice or in a game.  I’m loyal to my team mates and my coach and will always be there to provide friendship and camaraderie and leadership.  This year I was voted my team's Coach's Player of the Year in high school and waiting for announcement on all League.  Last summer, I was asked to play with a Brazilian 01 team in France at a FIFA International tournament and we made it to the semi-finals before being beaten by the Moscow Dynamos.  Later in the summer, I was invited to play in a U17 tournament in Shanghai, China.  We went 2-2 getting beat by France and England.  My other big tournament was in Hawaii with my club team and we beat SoCal's state champs 3-1 and the AZ state champs 3-2.  I was playing forward, but my best position is right defense or holding midfielder.  I have consistently made the ODP traveling squad.  I apologize for sounding like it's all about me, because it's not, but my coaches have said to talk about my strengths.   I love playing soccer and hope you will consider me.

Well, we ended up making it to the championship against Southern California. After a hard fought 80 minutes, both teams headed into overtime scoreless. Another 20 minutes of overtime and we headed into a pentalty shootout. Unfortunately we lost in pk’s, but overall a very good game against some very good opponents. I hope to play those players again some time.

  • National League
  • 12/06/18 to 12/09/18
  • My team and I played well in North Carolina, despite only recently reconvening for club soccer after a month or two break for high school soccer. In our first game, we played CUP 02 Gold - the state champions of Ohio. We dominated the entire match and went up 2-0. The referee gave them a controversial penalty kick, which they scored. At the final whistle we won 2-1. Our second game we beat 02 Lobos Rush Premier - the state champions from Tennessee. Both teams fought hard with good intensity in the first half, but in the second half, we overcame them winning 3-0. Our next two games were unfortunately cancelled, due to impending snow and bad weather. Baltimore Celtics and National champions Arlington SA barely escaped playing us! The boys and I are looking forward to the next leg of the league in Las Vegas!
