Hello, my name is Cody Wigand and I'm a 2027 Center back from Lexington, South Carolina. I currently play for South Carolina United 09 ECNL Boys. I wear number #31. Academics are essential to me. I excel in various subjects including Geometry Honors. As a player, I'm very calm and communicate on the field. For example, I am a versatile, trusted, and impactful player on my club team. I play the center-back position but I can also play outside back. Soccer is very important to me because it has taught me life lessons and it is the only place where I can always have fun. Soccer has taught me many important life lessons but the most important is "Short Term Memory". This is very important to me because you can't keep thinking about the mistake you just made. You have to move on from it. Through college athletics, I desire to play at a high level, compete every day, make a significant difference on and off the field, and earn a college degree.
