Cobey Penner '24 Recruiting Profile

I have played soccer for the last 14 years, 12 of which has been club soccer at a high level. I play center back, full back and defensive mid-fielder. On and off the field I always give my all. Things haven't always come easy for me but with determination, grit, hard work and some amazing coaches I am where I am today. I train 3-4 days a week with my club team, conditioning on my own 4- 5 days a week and any other opportunities I get I take them! I take pride in my fitness and making sure I stay healthy. I am hoping to play D1 or D2 soccer while getting a college education; I enjoy learning and I strive to be my best academically. I love being on the field as much as possible, I have a lethal shot, I am a lock down defender and my vision and execution are top tier. When I am playing, I am disciplined in my role on my team, I am always levelheaded and focused on the game.  I am currently a senior at Davis High and going to be playing in my fourth year of High School soccer, I have lettered each year. My club team has always competed with the best teams on a state, regional and national level. We have competed in the Elite Academy League (EAL) for the 2022-23 season and are competing EAL in the 2023-24 season. We won Presidents Cup on the state, region and national level in the 2022-23 season. We won the 2023 Utah State Cup and will continue onto regionals in June 2024, which I am very excited for. I am looking forward to seeing what my future holds and being able to continue my soccer career.
