Courtney Burbidge '27 Recruiting Profile

Since my first organized game at age 3, I have been in love with the game of soccer. Over the past decade, I have worked hard, improved my skill, and had many successes, and my love of the game has only grown. My long-term goal is to play collegiate soccer and see how far my dreams can take me.

I have quick feet and a good field presence and have often been told by my coaches that I am "soccer smart", with a reputation for making good decisions in tricky situations. As a leader on my ECNL team, I work hard to be kind and supportive and bring out the best in my teammates. I have a strong work ethic and work rate. I try to be coachable and recognize that there is always more to learn and room for improvement. I have great stamina and outside of soccer my conditioning has allowed me to be successful in Track and Field (100m, 200m, 400m & 1600m), Indoor Track (1600m & 3200m), Cross Country and Triathlon.

Not only do I aim to give 100% at every training, but also in the classroom. I am on the High Honor roll with a 4.0 GPA, ranked #1 in my class. My favorite classes are Art, Honors Math, Biology and Human Development. I am working toward a future career in medicine, focusing on either obstetrics or pediatrics. Outside of school, I am actively involved in my community participating in a youth service group and volunteering at various events. My goal is to attend a college where I can challenge myself in both academics and athletics. I want to play at the highest level possible, positively impacting myself and others. But above all else I want to become a well-rounded person and role model to all around me, making my Savior and family proud.
