Dicarlo Peredo-Torrico '21 Recruiting Profile

I developed my passion for soccer since I was 5 years old. Many factors played into the motivation that became my drive to become a better player as well as a better person. I have gone through many obstacles varying from the separation of my parents to the death of my stepfather. Thankfully, these events in my life have allowed me to grow as a person and desire to make my family proud by exceeding their expectations of me. Initially, I started high school with the wrong crowd, which resulted in my grades to inversely reflect my true capabilities. But as time progressed, I refined the flaws of my work ethic and made great self improvement so that the path to college opportunities has more clarity. I would say I differentiate from other candidates because I am willing to put my blood, sweat, and tears into have the rare chance of balancing my passion with my scholastic future. I have prepared myself for the sacrifices and the dedication that these types of opportunities require. I do not wish to disappoint.
