Nicolas Gutierrez '21 Recruiting Profile

I began playing soccer when I was three years old, by kicking the ball around in the backyard. Since then, I have evolved into a goalkeeper for soccer and futsal, and a kicker for football. I was selected to go to a tryout with the US Youth Futsal National Team for my age group. Despite all my athletic achievements, I also do well academically. In my junior year, I'm taking four (4) Advanced Placement classes, and also am in the schools' highest band, Wind Ensemble. In my sophomore year, I took one (1) Advanced Placement class, and the rest were honors, finishing the year with mostly A's and B's. I am different than other recruits because not only am I an athlete but a well-rounded student when it comes to academics as well.
