D. Holden Lester '28 Recruiting Profile

My soccer journey began at the age of 3. While I have come a long way since then, I have always dreamed of playing soccer at a professional level. Through hard work and determination, I strive to get better every time I step on the pitch while keeping my eyes on the end goal.

As a defensive midfielder, I possess excellent tackling skills and passing ability all while maintaining composure and a strong awareness of the other players on the field. My teammates see me as a leader as I push them to be the best players they can be. My coaches see me as an extremely coachable player with excellent soccer IQ. Aside from my defensive skills, last season I contributed 17 assists and 10 goals and was given the nickname "Playmaker" by my coaches. Aside from my club team, I also participate in the Tennessee ODP program and have enjoyed learning from new teammates and getting exposed to a variety of coaching styles. To maintain fitness and keep my skills sharp, I train year-round with Willex Training led by former professional player Willfred Williams. I was just awarded the Leadership Award at Willex Training's Elite Camp in Charlotte, NC.

As driven as I am on the field, I am equally as determined in the classroom. I take the highest level courses offered at my school and maintain an all A average. I am a member of the National Honor Society and was awarded the Soaring Eagle Award, my school's highest honor, for my excellent leadership and academic achievements.

I am looking for a college where I can achieve my academic goals as well as further my soccer career.
