If you want a relentless defender who is a team player, very coachable, and demonstrates integrity on and off the field, you have found him! In 2020, I made varsity as a sophomore and was slated to be a starter. The season quickly came to a screeching halt due to the Covid pandemic. This was the first time since I was three that I was not playing soccer. This forced “time off” reinforced how important soccer is in my life and my deep desire to play in college.
I have always thrived on challenges and deliberately sought out clubs, players, and coaches, that could help me be a better player. In 2019, I played up on a U19 team and was chosen to be the captain despite my age which was 16. When I asked why I was chosen, the coach mention my sportsmanship, dedication, and composure regardless of the conditions. This spring, I was honored to be one of the four captains of my varsity high school team and the only junior (there were 14 seniors on the team).
I’m known as a tenacious and passionate outside back with speed, agility, endurance, and the ability to stop the attack and quickly transition the ball to my offense. My coaches often move me to the side of the strongest offensive player (who is generally bigger than I am) so I can match up and neutralize him. I’m looking for a solid school with a strong team culture where my values of leadership by example, dedication, good sportsmanship, and teamwork will make an immediate impact while taking my play to the next level.
