My dream is to play soccer at the highest level someday, starting with college and hopefully with opportunities to play professionally someday. I've played soccer since I was 9 years old, and even though I played other sports, my first and true love is soccer. Every day I work in some way to get better as a player, whether it is thru touches, running, getting stronger, watching video, playing wherever and however I can. I love to work, and drive to outwork everyone around me. I'm focused on getting bigger, faster, stronger, more technical and intelligent as a player. The more I can help my team, score goals, help others to succeed, the more my desire and courage grow. I want to go to a college that has a strong business / finance school, a place where it's ok to be me (traditional, christian kid who loves all people, music, culture and helping others). My parents instilled values in me that include treating other the way you want to be treated, showing respect for my coaches, my mentors & those who will influence my life in positive ways. With a Latina Mother and being of mixed descent, I've learned what it means to have thick skin, speak a second language, honor my parents. I'm involved with my church and with my FCA group at school. I've also been involved with our school's Latino Education Advancement Program during the summer. I'm not a natural born student, but I know that since my success as a person relies even more on how well I do as a student, I have to work just as hard to get good grades as I do at getting better at soccer. I'm not the most vocal person on my team, but I like to lead by example. Everything I do during training and games I do in order to win and be the best player and person I can be. I'm not blessed with blazing speed, but I make up for it with vision and smarts. I'm not the strongest on the team but I have no fear when it comes to getting after it. I work hard on my technical skills and understand the value of being strong with both my left and right foot. I love to talk about the game, and see myself as a future coach. I play as hard and as smart as I can, but believe in respecting my opponents and the referees. Most important; I want to make sure to take advantage of, and be thankful for every opportunity that is given to me. These opportunities are gifts that I really appreciate and want to honor.
