2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
My name is Hayes Sheppard and I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. Soccer is my primary sport, but I competitively play numerous other sports including lacrosse, tennis, and golf. I enjoy surfing, snowboarding and other games in my spare time. I believe playing many sports has made me a better and more coordinated athlete. I am currently captain of my travel team (FC Richmond Magic Elite) and I am a four year varsity starter and one of the captains on my high school team. I was awarded "best midfielder" of the 2022 season. My high school (Trinity Episcopal) team made it to the state championship finals, narrowly losing. I have been selected to train and compete in Europe this upcoming summer with other select travel players from the area.
I have aspirations of playing collegiate soccer, while pursuing a degree in computer science.
