Hello, my name is Nicholas Arinduque, and I am a dedicated swimmer with a deep-seated passion for the sport. My journey in swimming began when I was 7, and since then, the pool has become my second home. In my younger years I tried other sports, but swimming has always been the consistent sport I returned to season after season.
I feel I have been fortunate with my swim journey. Being a part of summer league team like Terra Linda Orcas, cemented my love for swimming. Transitioning to my first USA swim team, Strawberry Seals, had widened my perspective to the big world of swimming. The experience deepened my yearning to improve my technique. That led me to North Bay Aquatics, where I continue to develop a strong mindset, consistency and discipline. The time and dedication required by this team feels aligned with the desires and goals I have set for myself as an evolving swimmer.
Swimming has taught me the importance of discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. Every early morning practice, every challenging workout, and every race has been a step in my journey of self-improvement. My specialty is breaststroke, but I take pride in my ability to adapt and perform across all strokes. I always find being part of a relay team to be an ideal situation. To work with and be among other like minded swimmers is exhilarating. The shared rewards of achieving a good time is multiplied by four when participating in a relay.
As I look forward to continuing my swimming journey at the college level, I am excited about the opportunities to train and learn with talented athletes. I'm committed to bringing my best to the team, supporting fellow swim mates and am eager to contribute to the team's success while continuing to grow both as a swimmer and as a person.
