I started swimming when I was 5 years old. When I was 8, my family moved from Hinsdale, Illinois (a strong swimming community) to a small mountain town in Colorado where swimming is unfortunately not a very popular sport but the community is lucky enough to have competitive swim team: the Evergreen Hurricanes. Growing up in the mountains, I participated in lots of sports like soccer, baseball, mountain biking, and skiing (I still compete on the high school mountain bike team and I love to ski for recreation); however, I always kept a year-round focus on swimming, competing for the Evergreen Hurricanes swim club for 8 years. After the 2023 high school swim season, I moved from the Evergreen Hurricanes to the Foothills Swim Team (FST) in Lakewood, CO---a much larger club team in a bigger town---and my excitement for swimming has never been higher. I love being part of a team like FST, having lots of teammates that push me, and being able to motivate them in return. Since joining FST, I have made huge improvements and am working hard every day to continue my development. I believe my recent time progressions reflect my training, commitment and desire to be a highly competitive collegiate swimmer and teammate.
