Ronnie "Ezekiel" Currie '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ronnie Ezekiel Currie, II, but I'm more commonly known by my middle name, Ezekiel, or simply Zeke, and it is my aspiration to continue my journey in both academics and swimming at a collegiate level. The prospect of combining a rigorous academic curriculum with the opportunity to swim competitively excites me, as both these areas of my life have shaped the person I am today.

What distinguishes me as a candidate for your team is not merely my performance in the pool but my character and my drive for academic excellence. Kindness is the cornerstone of my personality, which drives me to contribute positively to any community I am part of. I have a passion for acquiring knowledge, which has led me to take advantage of AP classes and dual enrollment, fueling my 4.0 GPA and positioning me at the top of my class.

Yet, what sets me apart from other recruits is the joy I find in learning. This joy is not confined to textbooks, as I actively participate in enriching activities outside the classroom. As a member of the Foreign Language Club, National Honor Society, Student Leadership, and two Swim Teams, as well as serving as a High School Ambassador, I am committed to fostering an inclusive, enthusiastic, and supportive community.

Ranked 33rd in Georgia and 5th at Rivers Academy in swimming, I bring a strong competitive spirit to the pool. I've been fortunate to contribute to two State Championship wins for Rivers Academy. However, it's not just about winning; it's about improving every day, supporting my teammates, and representing my school to the best of my abilities.
