Drew Harner '13 Recruiting Profile

My name is Drew Harner and I am a 2013 graduate from Hononegah High School in Rockton, Illinois. I have been swimming competitively since 2003. My current GPA is a 4.733 and I am ranked number four in my class of 506. My goal is to attend a college where I can achieve my high athletic goals, as well as acquire a great education. Currently I would like to pursue a career in sports medicine, engineering or a related field. I am an effective leader which is apparent in my activities including currently serving as 2012 Relay For Life co-chair at my school, achieving Eagle Scout rank in BSA (2010), and serving as sophomore class student council president (2010/2011). I am hoping to find a great team with an even better coaching staff where, through hard work, dedication and persistence, I can reach my full potential. Coming from a high school that does not even have its own pool, I believe that there are many possibilities for success in the future with the right coaching and training combination.  I know my high goals, positive attitude, and good work ethic with play well in my college career of swimming. I hope to be a valuable addition to a great team where the passion I have for swimming that  comes with me wherever I go can prosper into a great college career.
